I haven't been on the board in ages. A fairweather friend, I guess. I got sidetracked, but now that I need something I'm back. So, when I changed my sparkplug I ended up cracking the "meter hood", the plastic thing that surrounds the speedometer and has the turn signal indicators on it. I don't know how this happened. I had a full tank of gas and set the tank upside down resting on the speedometer. That shouldn't have done this, but regardless,the thing is cracked all to hell and the speedometer rattles all the way down the road. The dealer wants $64 for this piece of plastic. Does anybody have a spare one, ingenious repair idea, other suggestions? Thanks for your help.
